Right, listen up. You know how every year someone turns up to this thing in a full suit? Thought they were being funny. Well, now it’s happened enough times that we’re just calling it what it is: a business-themed enduro. Suits, ties, pencil skirts, briefcases on your back if you’re brave. No theme in the past, but this is your own fault, really. You’ve made it compulsory.
We normally run the Triple Crown smack bang in the middle of winter, but we’re late. You’ll live. This year it’s Saturday the 13th of September, kicking off at 12pm sharp. Don’t be late. Nobody likes that guy.
Entries open Friday 22nd of August. Yes, tomorrow. Yes, we know that’s not much notice. We’re not running an airline here. You want in? Get in quick. 100 spots only. And you MUST be a Rotorua Mountain Bike Club member. No exceptions. Join the club, don’t be a freeloader.
Format: 3 to 4 stages, Grade 4 to 5 tracks. Nothing silly, just proper racing. We all ride to the stages together like a nice little school trip.. At the finish line? Chip butties. Not Michelin stars, but better.
So dust off your “business casual” or your “full corporate banker about to foreclose on someone’s mortgage” look. Don’t overthink it. Tie optional, but highly recommended.
See you at the start line, 12pm, September 13. Bring your A-game, bring your suit, and remember: business is business.
